The OFF app asks to specify quantity for products other than food.
How units should be specified? Just with words? “10 pens”, “25 pieces” and similar? Then how to manage translations, when these units translated to many languages? Or shouldn’t I add this information for non food products at all?
For now I choose just add quantity information without as on my picture in the beginning, because this way of doing doesn’t have problems with translations and can be understood from product context/pictures/categories. But is it right decision? Are there any other standards here?
And what to do with products, that include more than one type of things? For instance, “Set of 5 pens, 10 pencils and 2 markers”. Is it:
- 5,10,2
- 5, 10, 2
- 5 pens, 10 pencils, 2 markers
- 1 (because as product it is one whole set)
Of course I can add it on the folksonomy level without any problem. The question is if it should be put there or in this quantity field, because it is systematic field that is already in use.
