Which weight/volume unit should be preffered when many units are specified on the packaging?

Should it be SI as international standard or local because it is more important on product market? Then what to do if this product is available on 2 markets with 2 different preffered standards? Or should I store both at the same time as one entity? Then which format should be used?

hello @Libra I think it’s best using the weight/volume unit of the principal language, normally the main market, of the edited product.

The problem, it is not always clear, what is main product market and how to find it

  • I’d expect whichever unit comes first to be the main one for the product’s main market. So “1. oz (40 g)” → “1.4 oz” and “40 g (1.4 oz)” → “40 g’”.
  • I’d also expect the imperial units to be used only when they are the default for the product"'s main market.

Sound logical, thanks!

What about cases like these?

Isn’t that simply “300 ml”?

I was need to explain that " מ"ל " is “ml” in Hebrew script :upside_down_face:

So, it has “ml” and " מ"ל " on its packaging

And one more XDDDDDDD

Product barcode: 4607003120917

And again me:

Product barcode: 72986370

Translation:

  • 500ml
  • 441g
