100% Atta Bread - Isn't this misleading?

How often do you see NOVA 4 Ultra processed food that has a Nurti-Score A - Very good nutritional quality?

I found this today - 100% Atta Bread - Bonn - a 100% Atta Bread product

Weirdly, its ingredients show it has 53% WHOLE WHEAT FLOUR or ATTA!

Not only this product there are 4 other 100% Atta Bread products from different brands that also have 50-65% Whole Wheat/atta but label themselves as 100% Atta Bread -

This feels like the Emperor’s New Clothes! If these products are not really 100% Whole Wheat, how can they so prominently mislabel it as 100% Atta Bread? What am I missing?

Hi @krishanti and welcome

You question is a good question. I’m really don’t know the answer. One might have to dig a bit in Indian legislation to undertand this kind of problem.

My guess, is that they can claim to be 100% Atta because there is no other flour used.
