As I reported many times over time, as far as I can tell the main effect is that OpenFoodFacts now gets invalid and/or outdated data from the manufacturers and that individual contributors are locked out and cannot fix it.
As is I donโt think this is progress.

Our relationship with the producers provides a large volume of data and the automatic update does a lot for the quality of the database. However, it can happen that there are errors you are right.

When you identify errors, please report them in the #producers channel in Slack.

Next, thereโs been discussion about setting up a button so that users can report errors to manufacturers. We can imagine that after X signals, the data protection is desactivated (?)
