Community is at the heart of Open Food Facts. The project that benefits millions of people across the world relies greatly on the effort of passionate contributors, volunteering their time and skills to grow the food database each and every day !
One of the goals of Open Food Facts is to see communities thrive to promote food transparency in many countries at a local level.
Why ? Because local communities understand their citizens, culture, socio-economic context, traditions and of course speak the local language. Many great conversations and initiatives are born in smaller groups too.
