I am a free software developer from India(Developing all kinds of web applications). I downloaded the openfoodfacts app from f droid store. I am using android without google (So No play store and google maps). I live in Kerala, a southern state in India. I am one of the admins in Malayalam Wikipedia and a contributor to Wikimedia Commons.
I try to scan barcodes with openfoodfacts app and it pops up with a lot of information and nutritional facts about the food. That made me curious. So I started contributing. Also the data is in an open license and photos are in cc license. So that made me glad to contribute.
If I can contribute to Open Food Facts, I will also be very happy because your project is really ambitious and useful to all of us.
