I am a data web-publishing engineer living in San Jose CA. I am in the process of setting up a non-profit that will be trying to provide tools, training and technologies for govt entities to use open-source technologies to create better and cheaper software.
I am currently trying to help with an import of USDA data to OFF via an API that we are accessing with python.
My usual platform is flask-python, but I have a lot of experience with java-based web frameworks.
In the past, I have worked for Apple, eBay, PayPal and some smaller companies.
I am learning Russian (building on some classes in uni) and Ukrainian and am interested in, at some point, going to Ukraine to help develop civic tech to assist in reconstruction efforts.
