Join the Prices Challenge💰

Open Prices has launched this week its first community challenge and we’re looking for contributors to collect prices on Nutella and other hazelnut spreads . Check out the challenge page for more info .

Some details:

How?

1. Snap Pics— visit 1 or more grocery stores, take photos of shelf labels for Nutella or similar spreads (…all other foods are welcome too!)
2. Upload & Share— visit the Challenge Page and upload your photos (proofs) + date + store name
3. Optional— help Validate by reviewing A.I.-generated details from your photos or other volunteers’ uploads

Why?

• To support Open Data: advance the movement for open and accessible data
• To empower Citizens: help inform + empower citizens by making food prices transparent
• To advance Science: enable low/no-cost research at the intersection of food affordability, access, nutrition, and sustainability
• To gather feedback and help on Open Prices (Come to #prices !) channel on our Slack.

Help us reach 1000 added prices to prices.openfoodfacts.org/challenge by adding some spreads prices from your city. So far, 857 spread prices have been added !
