Misinformation in Green Score methodology

Hi, the Green Score methodology currently encourages consuming organic food as a more sustainable choice, applying a big bonus to the score for foods with organic certifications.

However, most research shows that organic food has no meaningful difference in greenhouse gas emissions between organic and regular farming, organic farming uses much more land and slightly less energy. The environmental impact of organic farming is about the same as that of conventional farming, and if anything, may actually be worse. See, for example:

The European Court of Auditors found that there is no proper evidence to support the EU policies promoting organic farming as a way to help the environment:

If OpenFoodFacts tries to be a reliable tool helping consumers make better decisions for themselves and for the planet, it should stop actively encouraging decisions that are worse for the planet.
