As every year, we are embarking on a new season of fundraising for our non-profit organisation Open Food Facts.
Everything Open Food Facts produces & makes available to consumers, data reusers & researchers is 100% FREE. Why ? Because we believe that information about what we eat is of public interest and has to be freely accessible to all.
But it takes skills, time & effort to maintain & improve the infrastructure, support the community of contributors & new members, create fruitful synergies with other actors (like those in digital commons, public agencies, NGOs, scientific community, food producers), go after funds for specific projects - to name a few of our everyday operations.
These individual donations we collect are so important, because they fund the maintainance of the common, that is Open Food Facts.
