Two questions from a beginner

Hi, I’m new here and I’m trying to understand how the website and app work. I have a couple of questions so far:
1)
On the website, I can find this product by EAN: https://dk.openfoodfacts.org/product/5701410400002/hyldeblomst-drik-gr%C3%B8n-balance
However, when I scan or search the same EAN using the Android app, I get a message saying the product is unknown. Why is it that the product appears on the website but not in the app?
2)
Two days ago, I added this product from the Android app without being logged in:
https://dk.openfoodfacts.org/product/5745000038183/state-energy-zero-sukkerfri-lime-orange-statedrinks. Now I see that the website says the product was added by “smoothie-app”, that is not my user. Why is that? Is it an error? I expected it to say something like “unknown user.”

Hey Carsten, welcome to the community!

Have you tried entering the exact EAN code in the mobile app? Maybe the scanner is not reading the code correctly.

The smoothie-app user is used whenever the user is not logged in, you can consider it as an “unknown user from the mobile app”.

Thanks, good to know about the smoothie-app user :+1:
Regarding the “EAN not found” issue - I have tried to manually enter the value e.g. “5701410400002” in Android app, iPhone app and via a browser at world.openfoodfacts.org. Both mobile apps display “New product found!” (…this barcode doesn’t exist), while the website finds the product “Hyldeblomst Drik…”.

Mmmm, I’m not quite sure. Maybe the application shows the product as “not found” if there are no images? @pierre any info on this one?
