We need your help in the UK

Hello,

I’m Gala, in charge of animating the Open Food Facts community

We would love to promote Open Food Facts in the UK.
As you probably know, many are concerned about ultra-processed foods (see BBC’s Panorama episode & the recent Guardian’s article which mentions Open Food Facts).

Open Food Facts can be a valuable tool to help answer some of those concerns. But we need all the help we can get, especially locally !

Your participation would greatly be appreciated. Here are some places to start :

  • :newspaper: Maybe you have press/media contacts that we could reach out to ?
  • :loudspeaker: :person_raising_hand: You’d be up for organising a local meet-up (in person or online) to spread the word about how Open Food Facts can be a useful tool. Get in touch & we’d love to brainstorm together
  • :factory: We are also interested to reach out to brands/producers, inviting them to share their product data in an open way. You could help out on our Partnerships Team.
  • :love_letter: Maybe there are synergies to create with other NGOs, researchers, health agencies, consumer associations, interest groups & Open Food Facts ?
  • :rabbit:You have other ideas, questions - we’re all ears !

Thank you for reading & hope to hear from you,
Take care,
Gala
