I almost don’t see any news about the project and it kinda sucks. It makes feel it is abandoned, even I know it isn’t, because I see there is a high GitHub activity on it, but I’m not a programmer, so it doesn’t help. Also:
https://blog.openfoodfacts.org/ is not really active and most of the posts are not about project progress or work on it, and just about fundraising or taking part in come real life events? It is not something bad by itself, but when there are no news about real project work/progress, it is not right.
Same with social networks, they don’t have any actual news.
Wiki news on the main page are not actively maintained as well.
Slack activity and especially forum activity is low and often I don’t get any answers to my questions at all.
What is in active work right now? I know there is a project for new OFF front-end, but doesn’t know anything about it except for that. Does it mean old design is abandoned and is not updated anymore, so any problems\bugs on the old website such as constant relogins should not be reported because they won’t be fixed and all efforts are concentrated on working on the new one and I just need to wait its launching/releasing? If so, are there any approximate plans, when it will be launched and accessible for everyone?
What are other projects if they exist and which progress in them is made?
At the moment, the Open Food Facts permanent team is reduced (5 employees), and because of the difficult financial year that we are having, we have to focus on funded projects. That’s one of the reason we have been communicating a lot less lately, and also why there is more calls to donate. I think we do share a fair amount on current projects too, like the Green-score for recipes.

We are a collaborative project, and do encourage our community to take part in communicating about what’s going on in the projects they are working on. But everyone’s time is limited of course.
We are building a new frontend (OFF Explorer), but the current website is actively maintained and extended as well, it is not abandoned. There is lot of activity in Slack and GitHub, but the forum is definitely less used.
I forwarded your message about relogins to the #productopener channel on Slack. I’m not sure what’s happening, I have not experienced it on my side, but we definitely should investigate with you to reproduce it and fix it.
