When sold by a big company
Actimel is sold by Danone
What does it mean exactly? When I see two brands on same product, do I literally need to write
- “Actimel is sold by Danone”
- “Kinder is part of Ferrero”
- etc
Or it means I need to list them separately?
- Actimel
- Danone
- Kinder
- Ferrero
- etc
Or as in green “right” example?
- “Actimel, Danone” (one entity)
- “Kinder, Ferrero” (one entity)
What should I do with translated names?
When sold with its brand translated in multiple languages
Nature Valley is sometimes written Val Nature
These instructions are unclear. It is not even instructions, to be honest. Which option is right?
- I need to add all possible translations and aliases of brands to the product.
- I need to add only names that are on the package. So if original company name is not specified, I add only translated name.
- I always need to add original brand name and after that list all translated options, that are on the package.
- I need to specify only original company/brand name, if I know it. In other case, I need to write the variant on the package.
- I need to write full explanation. Something as “Val Nature and it is translated name of Nature Valley”
- other options
How to handle cases, when many brands share similar or same names? It happens sometimes on the international level. Right now I just write name as it is written, but in this case on the brand page will be products of different companies, that are not linked to each other. Should I add some digits (as [brand x], [brand x 1], [brand x 2]), commentaries ([brand x (Belarusian food company)], [brand x (USA electronics)]) or something similar?
What to do if some company add product type category for almost every its product? For instance (brand name is generated randomly), main brand name: “Prismarin”. “Prismarin” has:
- Prismarin Food
-
- Prismarin Food. Mixed fruit juice
- Prismarin Food. Mineral water
- etc
- Prismarin Cosmetics
- Prismarin Electronics
- etc
Are they separate brands (Prismarin and Prismarin Food are different brands, where Prismarin Food is part of Prismarin)? Or are they same brand and I need to list only main brand name. If the second option is right, then why? If the first, then I need to return to my earlier questions. Is it:
- Prismarin
- Prismarin Food
- Prismarin, Prismarin Food
- “Prismarin Food is part of Prismarin”
- etc
